Let me know that I've done wrong When I've known this all along I go around a time or two Just to waste my time with you Anyone who knew Melinda well knows that she can't sleep and is kinda insomniac, she's always turning and tossing in her bed, she loved to sleep in late especially on a day like today, dreary day, rain's pouring heavily outside and it's a Saturday, but since this is Melinda we are talking about then chances are slim to none that she'll get some sleep, she's been up since 5:30am but remained in her bed, looking at the ceiling just staring, her mind was blank, expressionless face, just staring at the ceiling, blinking every now and then. Melinda turned her head and glanced at her bedside clock it was 6:00am, She decided to get up, there's no use of trying to go to sleep nor staying like this, Melinda got up and walked to her bathroom, Grabbing her hairbrush from amongst the various piles of different toiletries and make-up brands that cluttered up the bathroom in her room, she attempted to sort out her hair. After a while the tangles became less, and the bouncy curls began to dance around her elegantly chiseled jaw. Melinda's white hand reached out and turned the faucet, allowing the cool water to flow effortlessly from the tap, which she began to splash upon her porcelain cheeks.
After washing and drying her face, she started applying some make-up, due to her sleepless nights she have those dark circles around her eyes, she started applying some concealer under her eyes to hide the black circles. Melinda's gaze fell onto her watch, she was glad to see that she spent an hour applying her make-up; after all she needed to waste sometime, who would go out this early on a Saturday morning.
Melinda now was wondering what was she going to wear, she have no idea or she wanted to go so she doesn't have the slightest idea on what she was going to put on, after spending half an hour rummaging around in her closet for something suitable to wear, she was finally ready, Melinda looked at her reflection in the mirror and everything was perfect, her brown hair done, her make-up done, her clothes on; the dilemma was that she still haven’t decided on where she wanted to go.
Melinda stepped out of her dorm she opened her umbrella inside, yeah her nanny always warned her about bad luck, her nanny was very superstitious, always going on and on about those stuff, if she did see her now opening her umbrella inside the house she would've given her a 3 hours lecture on the things that you should do to avoid bad luck. Melinda got out and started walking in the rain, she loved the rain, she loved dreary days, she can't understand why other's loved summer, she loves winter, she loves the cold and the rain, the snow… She loved Christmas, only a few weeks for that, it's true that her mum died after Christmas, after 3 weeks to be exact and usually the house is gloomy around this time of year, but The O'Connell's family always knew how to have fun and good times in Christmas even though it might reminds them about their mother's death.
There was no particular destination that Melinda was going to, however the university's library doors were always open no matter if it's the weekend, she knew that not many students will be there, it's a Saturday and let alone that it's 8:30am so yeah you get the picture not so many student will actually go to the library on a Saturday.
Melinda stepped into the library. It wasn't her favorite place in campus but it's not like she have many choices, she decided that she wanted to read, Melinda loved reading, it's true that she doesn't strike people as a girl who liked to read but who cares, she didn't want people to know that she does, actually she couldn't care less about what other's think about her.
It was not at all surprising that Melinda didn’t see anyone else in the library that being the entire reason she came at that time yeah plus she have like no other place to go to this early in the morning. Well, saying it was the entire reason was a bit of a fallacy. She enjoyed the library. It was a comforting place: quiet, constant, majestic in a way. She loved books, loved reading them, loved being surrounded by them, loved browsing shelves to see titles she knew and loved and those he had never noticed before.
Walking into the open area in the center of the library, Melinda dropped her bag off her shoulder onto the floor next to a table in the corner. Normally when she intended to work alone, she occupied one of the carrels around the edge of the room, but she doubted there would be much competition for space, so she didn’t feel at all guilty about spreading her work over the table. She shrugged off her coat, draping it over the back of the chair before sitting down. Once settled, she started working on her English paper.
The paper had been assigned midweek and was due the following Friday, but Melinda had no intention of being up in the middle of the night on Thursday struggling to get it done. They had finally finished reading “Oedipus Rex” – Oedipus the King. Melinda really wished she could read Ancient Greek. In Latin, they were reading the original text of Virgil's “Aeneid” and actually reading it was so different than the translation. Learning Greek had become one of new goals, with the intention of reading the original text of the Greek tragedies. Having spent more than enough time analyzing the play and hearing people point out obvious points they thought were revolutionary, they finally had an essay. Using “Oedipus Rex” and at least one other major play or novel, discuss the role of the Wanderer archetype in literature. It was an interesting essay, sure. She started listing companion pieces in her notebook: “Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, “The Odyssey”, the story of Cain and Abel, even the sequels to “Ender’s Game”. Keeping with the organization, she began making a pro/con list of the various books, finally deciding that the Ancient Mariner would make the most interesting companions to Oedipus. She began to write, trying to form a thesis. It wasn’t going well, as everything she wrote sounded stiff and unfocused. Melinda began to fiddle with her pencil, finally losing grip of it and accidentally flinging it about fifteen feet away from her. Fantastic. She groaned in frustration, but didn’t bother getting up to get the pencil. It would be just as easy to pick it up on her way out. She took out a different pen and placed it in front of her; she had nothing to write for the moment and would probably end up throwing that one by accident too. She began aimlessly pulling her fingers through her hair, a mostly nervous habit. Melinda was almost incapable of being still when frustrated.

((Ok, if that's bad, I'm not sure I want to see what's good, that puts my posts to shame! -hands cookie-))
Stairing up at the generic celing, Jason Deen sighed. The clock on his bedside table read 6:10, the fact that the sun was yet to rise and a thin layer of snow covered the ground did nothing to ease Jason's apathetic mood. His shaggy blonde-brown hair was laying lifelessly around his head, his grey eyes just watching the celing age. There were times when Jason didn't like being a teacher, for on the weekends, it meant he had nothing to do. Turning his gaze away from the roof, he looked at the nightstand. The small lamp was turned off, shadowing the alarm clock that rested under it. He had two picture frames on the table, one of his whole family taken right before his eighteenth birthday, the last birthday that his family would ever spend together, and one of his sister, Maria, and her fiance.
With a groan, he kicked the thin sheets off of his lean figure, revealing his maroon plaid pajama bottoms andhis pine green shirt. Setting his feet on the cold ground, Jason hissed, he was not a morning person, and the frozen floor did not help. Yawning, he moved across the room towards his dreaser and closet. Where was he planning on going at 6 freakin AM?! Rummiging through the neat stacks of clothes, he finally found a pair of jeans and a short-sleeved button down. Muttering, he changed into the clothes and looked into the small mirror that hung over the sink. The small sink was right next to the dreasure, so he didn't have to move much, and the floor was already warming up. His shaggy hair looked impossible, muttering something about wanting to cut his hair again, he plucked the hair-brush off the rim of the sink, running it through the lenght of hair.
Looking at his acceptable appearence in the mirror, he pulled the worn leather jacket off it's hook that he'd fasioned out of a pen and a coat hook, all jabbed into the wall where he thinks a bullet might have been, either that, or a drunk teacher's rage. Now where to go? He thought to himself, sitting back on the edge of his bed. 6:24. Only 14 minutes killed. Looking around his home he spotted the keys to the library. He remembered volunteering to watch it for the day while the two librarians were at some convention. He was nice like that, the history teacher always volunteered to do stuff like that. And, he really liked the library.
The chill of the early morning struck Jason hard. Pulling his jacket closer to his figure, he truged along, the keys dangling at his side. The snow wasn't as thin as it had looked from his window, but it still didn't go past the tread of his shoe. The little path to the litterature building was one that Jason didn't travel much, his office and classes were on the other side of campus, in the history hall. But the wonderfuly familiar doors to the lit. building were still a welcome sight. Opening the doors, he expected to hear the crunch of ice breaking, but no such sound reached him. Looking down at his feet, he was surprised to see footprints smaller than his own.
His feet caried him easily to the library. The open abyss of the hall of litterature was a welcome sight to Jason, he had wanted to be a teacher of writing and the history of it, but no such job was offered to him. He loved his job with history, but there was still just as much passion for English as there was for History. Looking around the Library, he noticed the lights on, and that was when he realized the door had been unlocked as well. Had he forgotten to lock it the night before. Impossible, he hadn't been here in three days, had the librarians forgotten to lock it? Hello? His easy voice echoed against the walls of books, frightning him a little that someone else might be here. Moving over to the check-out counter, he slid his jacket off and left it on the back of one of the chairs. Looking around the room, his eyes fell on one person. He didn't recongize them from this distance, nor from the dim light.
Moving at a gracefull lope, Jason moved across the library towards the figure. Hello? He repeated as he drew nearer. The figure was a girl, their dark head slouched over a book. Melinda O'Connell. He murmered, his surprise that the senator's daughter was here this early in the morning, when there was snow on the ground outside.

Many shelves stood tall in the place called the library. Some stood against the back wall and others stood in lines, parallel to each other. Subjects ranging from World War two to anatomy of a jellyfish sat neatly upon the old wooden shelves, sorted by category, subject and alphabetical order. Students come and went, borrowing books, returning them or just reading them for five minutes before returning them to their place. It was a sight to behold for one who truly appreciated books.
It's true that Melinda wouldn't usually hang in the library but today was different, it's like she was drowned to this place, she can't explain it, she just felt like coming to the library, Melinda started fidgeting as she sat there thinking hard to form a decent thesis but her mind was blank, she couldn't think of anything, Even though Greek Mythology was by far one of Melinda's favorite subjects but with the blankness of her mind she doubt that she will be writing anything decent about the matter right now. She closed her book in frustration, this was so not the time to get a writers block or lose muse, this paper was due this Wednesday and she doesn't want to be late.
Melinda started fiddling with her shirt looking at the books in front of her, she was alone in the library, but that wasn't weird, or maybe it was since even the librarian weren't here. Melinda wondered where were the librarians today, maybe they were late or something, Melinda occupied herself with thinking about everything, things been pretty confusing in Melinda's like lately, she was frustrated but she always tend to get tense around the holidays specially that it reminds her of her mother. Melinda missed her mother, she can still remember that day, the day that the doctors told them that her mother only have six months to live and Melinda wished it was true, but it wasn't her mother died 3 months later, Melinda felt cheated… She shook the thoughts out of her mind when she heard a voice in the library.
Melinda turned her head hearing someone, she wasn't sure who it was but it was a male's voice, Melinda thought that it's one of the librarians, she didn't want to get into trouble coming here at such an early hour, she stood up hoping that she won't get into some kinda trouble but she was relieved when she saw Jason Deen, her world history professor and quite a talented teacher if she might add.
Melinda remembered the first year she got here, it was last year but it felt like it's been ages, she remembers the day she walked into Jason's class, she was first surprised that the world history professor is in his twenties, he looked even younger than her brother's and was surprised to learn that he was only twenty four, she thought that her world history teacher would be an old man with a white long beard and was surprised to find him young, Melinda didn't pay much attention to her first world history class lecture she was more taken by the Professor and instantly developed a crush on him, something that she didn't intend to do. She smiled at that memory as Jason came closer. "Hey Professor." Melinda said smiling; she wasn't sure how to address him, should she say Jason or Professor! So she decided to go with Professor. "What brings you here at such an early hour?" Melinda said raising a perfectly plucked eyebrow at him, she didn't know that anyone besides her would get up early on a Saturday morning and come to the library.
[OOC] Yay, I got a cookie :] .. your post was good as well, I just tend to babel sometimes which make me forget to mention the reason behind the babeling.

Stoping near the Sophmore, Jason stood there, his hands hanging limply at his side. His shaggy hair falling over one of his crystal-gray eyes. Melinda was one of his better students, and one of the few he noticed actually listening to his class the first day of school. Most of the guys in those classes saw that he was as young as he was and started holding a grudge. Most of them ended up playing some sort of trick on him. But he missed some of those pranks, he enjoyed watching the students think they'd gotten him, only to find him standing outside their dorm with a water gun or something of the sort. Only once had he envolved the police, that time, they'd locked him in a trunk in the middle of a field with little air holes to keep him alive. He still couldn't belive they'd gotten him in that thing.
Smilling, he moved over to the chair beside Melinda and leaned against the armrest, his arms crossed over his chest. What on earth would you be doing in here at - He checked his watch for effect, - 6:40 on a Saturay morning, when there is snow on the ground out there? Then again, he was here at 6:40 on a Saturday morning when he could be asleep or in his office. A small burst of early morning sunlight me in through the large windows on the other side of the library, turning Jason's dark hair a shade lighter.
Standing there, he listened to her question him. He chuckled a little when she called him proffesor, he didn't mind, but it made him feel old, he was perfectly fine with people calling him 'Mr. Deen' in the classroom, but outside of class, he was fine with people calling him by his name. You do realize that you don't have to address me by my title outside of class....right? His voice was thick with sarcasim. Running one of his hands through his hair, he glanced out the window. The sun had gone behind the buildings, so the campus was plunged into darkness again. The warm lights of the library reflected a little bit of light on the snow, reminding him of the old saying, 'don't eat yellow snow'.
Listening to her second question, he shrugged. I don't sleep well at night anymore. Well..come to think of it, I've never slept well. He laughed softly again, more at the fact that he'd just realized why he was always falling asleep in class back home. Home. He hadn't refered to Goodwood as home since....since his parents had been killed. True, he didn't call America his home either, he didn't call anywhere home. He didn't have a reason to. Returning his gaze back to Melinda, he noticed her smile. What are you all smiley about? He joked, glancing around the library. It was still empty.

Melinda watched as Jason pulled a chair and sat beside her, Melinda thought that Jason Deen is actually a nice person, if he wasn't her teacher than she'd be flirting with him like right now, maybe the fact that it was too early in the morning made her not in the mood for flirting. In fact Melinda didn't really care if Jason was her teacher or not, she's the kinda girl who gets whatever she wants, the problem is she's the senator's daughter and getting involved with a teacher won't be good for her father's image and it won't be good for Jason since the board may actually expel him and her as well. That's the only reason, that's keeping her from flirting with him or telling him anything, and it was actually a pretty good reason.
Though Melinda was always a straight girl, never been a girl who played hard to get, sure she wasn't gonna let any guy get to her easily but the point is if she liked someone then she'd tell him, life is to short to hide those feelings away and never have the chance to at least know of the other person likes you. So bad that Melinda didn't even have the courage to know if Jason actually liked her or if he even have a girlfriend, sure he's not married nor he's engaged since he have no ring around his finger and that actually for some unknown reason made her feel relived.
"Well let's see I couldn't sleep and then when I finally did I had this really stupid dream, believe me you don't wanna know what was it about, so I decided that the best thing to do and since I didn't want to bother my roommate, I thought the best thing to do is come here, maybe work on my English paper which so far I managed to write nonsense and I guess I should stop now before you go to sleep." Melinda said the smile on her face widened, she was babbling, yeah she was nervous, she always start talking and babbles whenever she's nervous, that wasn't a good thing since she might bore him and that's the last thing she wants to do right now. She needed the distraction away from her English paper and away from her school work.
Melinda blushed a little when he told her that she can call him Jason, she looked at him her green hazel-ish orbs sorta staring at him, she couldn't tell if he noticed her blushing, but she thought that it was pretty obvious since she was just silent for a few moments, thinking if it was actually a smart move calling him Jason, this will only add to her problem maybe escalating her crush, calling him professor or Mr. Deen was so much easier as it will always remind her that he's her teacher and not some guy from a study group. Melinda nodded, she hesitated for a second but then decided on calling him Jason, "Yeah, I think Jason sounds better, I mean professor it sounds like you're like a sixty year old man with grey beard and thick glasses." Melinda said smiling again at him
Melinda listened to him talking about his sleep "So it sounds like am not the only one who's kinda insomniac here, Don't you just hated when you feel like sleeping but when you try to actually get some sleep you just stay awake staring back at the ceiling expecting it to do something interesting." Melinda said, she's been having trouble sleeping since as long as she can remember, and it's been this way since her mother died. Melinda looked at Jason again when he asked her what she was smiling about. "Nothing in particular, am just… nothing… I'm a cheerful person by nature so I'm always smiling." Melinda said cheerfully.

Jason leaned back in his chair and let his shaggy hair flop over his eyes. He chuckled and reached up with one of his hands and moved it away, so that he could still see. His mind was beginning to drift when he felt his pants start to vibrate, with a chuckle, he dug down into his pocket and fished out his cell. The little flip phone suited him. Opening the cover, he saw it was a text, from Maria. Maria...what am I going to do with you. He sighed to himself as he read the message. i can't belive i'm stupid enough to lock my keys in my car! help. Jason sighed and stuffed the phone back in his pockets, if she was going to ask for his help at 7 AM, she better have food, otherwise he was asleep.
Looking back up at Melinda, he smilled apologetically, Sorry 'bout that, you were saying? He nodded as he listened to her explain how she ended up down here. It all sounded pretty reasonable, a bit babbly, but reasonable. That's nice, thinking about your roommate like that. He didn't have to deal with that, he had nobody. He could feel his phone vibrating again, motioning with his hand, he answered the little phone. Maria-Mari-Calm down, Maria. No, don't do that. He paused listening to the sweet voice on the other end. Maria, just call OnStar, I love you too. He rolled his eyes in an unnoticable fasion and looked back up at Melinda.
Yeah, I guess you could call me an insomniac... He wasn't sure that was what described his sleep deprivation, but it was close enough. He knew it was simply guilt that kept him up, guilt from having a good time the night his parents had died, and not checking in with them earlier that night. And you needn't worry about putting me to sleep, it's not boring to listen to students worry about their school work- He patted her lightly on the knee - In fact, you remind me alot of myself as a student here, getting up early to work on some essay. This library soon became my second home. He leaned back into his chair, watching her face, she looked like she was arguing with herself inside.
He couldn't help but laugh when she said that the word proffessor made her think of a 60 year old man with a beard. Sarcastically, he pulled one of the locks of hair down over his eyes. Nope, not grey yet. He laughed softly and relaxed into the chair.

Melinda just kept looking at him when his cell rang and he got the message from whoever messaged him, Melinda wondered who's messaging him at this hour, it was early in the morning for anyone to be awake! Well not really it's early that’s true but she is awake and apparently Jason is along with the one who just sent him the message! She smiled back at him when he apologized, "That's okay; it looks like we're not the only ones who can't sleep."
Melinda said calmly. She rolled her eyes when he mentioned her roommate "Well I have to otherwise she'll make my life a living hell…" Melinda said jokingly as she thought of her roommate, well thank god they were friends long before they came here, they've been friends since high school, so that was a good thing, she didn't want to have a roommate and get used to her habits and getting to know her really, so she was really thankful that it turned out to be none other than Kelly who was her roommate. "Just kidding, Kelly is nice, she thinks about me as well and doesn't do anything that bothers me, so we're considerate towards each other." Melinda said smiling as his phone started ringing again! Melinda didn't know that Jason have a girlfriend, yeah this Maria girl sounds like his girlfriend. Melinda didn't know much about Jason other than that he's twenty four and that he's her world history teacher. Doesn't know much about him really! Oh yeah and he comes from England, every student who was taught by Jason knew this about him and other than that they don't know much. Melinda smiled sheepishly at his comment, he's really nice, she can't even picture herself babbling about her life and her homeworks to one of the other professors, but Jason was somehow different, she thought of him more like a friend than a teacher, but she also have to remember that he's after all her teacher. "Now I know why the students here like you, of course the girls, I think they guys have some issues when it comes to you." Melinda said jokingly though it was true, half of the girls here like Jason while half of the guys don't really like him and were jealous because the girls thought that Jason is one handsome teacher. "So you weren't all about fun and partying back in college, not that I have anything against libraries but sometimes it's boring to be in such a place, I mean when it comes to homeworks and research it's okay to hang in the library but other than that I don’t like to hang here often." Melinda said smiling at him. "Nope, not yet gray, you still have a long way till your hair turns gray." Melinda said laughing slightly with him. "So what brought you here today? You're not a student anymore." Melinda said a little bit intrigued about what brought him here today! [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jason shrugged, If she texts or calls back, I went to sleep. He joked, he loved his sister more than anything, but some part of him still blamed her for their parents death, and it wasn't even her who called to tell him! He closed his eyes for a moment and let the emotion wear off, and then he oppened his grey eyes again.
Jason laughed softly when she said that she and her room mate had a deal and a past with eachother. When I went here, my room mate had some sort of issue and occasionally he'd come home drunk and in a rampage. For the last three years of my going here, I slept with a knife under my pillow. He still remembered waking up to find the strangely taught face of Charles looming over him. He chuckled softly at the memory and then looked back over at Melinda.
He still had his phone in his hand when it rang...again. I'm sorry, Melinda. He oppened it and moved it to his ear, but had to pul it away because Maria was shouting. Maria, calm down. No, I'm not going to come all the way out there because you locked your keys in your car. It's not my job. He listened a little, but had to walk away from Melinda just a little for a moment. Leaning against one of the shelves under a window, his signal grew stronger. Maria, why are you calling me? Why not call your fiance and have him drive out there. He had never been this irratable with his elder sister, he loved her, but this was getting rediculus. He rubbed his head with one of his hands as she babbled on about not wanting to worry the guy, and something about buying his christmas present. Maria, relax, just call him. He didn't wait for her to answer, he hung up. With a tap to the power button, the screen went blank as he walked back over to Melinda.
The reason that all the students are a bit closer with me than they are with the others, is simply this. He paused and moved his hair out of his face. I'm young enough to have graduated last year, but instead, I graduated two years ago. He remembered the fact that he'd studdied all summer after his Freshman year, he'd been able to skip being a Sophmore and became a Junior the following year. He'd enjoyed the honor. He looked at Melinda carefully, her smile was different than a usual smile, it was more like the ones that girls would pass to the guys that they crushed on, the ones who didn't know the girl had a crush on them. Jason passed it over as his imagination.
Jason looked around the library, from his coat laying on the chair at the check-out desk, to the biography section, to the history section. His grey eyes taking in every detail. The library was special to me when I went here, it allowed me to learn things about myself, and come to terms with a tragedie... He sighed, thinking about his parents was still hard for him. And today, I came because I told the librarians I'd watch this place for the day, but seeing as no one is up yet, I figured I'd come over here and talk with the only other person who's up at this freak-ish hour. His voice was still hollow in a way, but it had some of his usual sarcasim in it.

Melinda let out a chuckle as Jason spoke "hmm, so you're like nice and funny, that's always a good combination."
Melinda said recovering from the little chuckle. Melinda kept on eyeing Jason, it was a habit, she always does this, eyeing the people that talks with her, it was a weird habit but nevertheless Melinda didn't feel it was awkward or anything! She ran her hand through her brown hair and started twirling a lock of her hair around her index as she heard Jason talking about his roommate, she smiled at him, "Thank god my roommate is not that insane, and thank god your roomie wasn't that insane or you weren't going to be here talking to me if he was…" Melinda said jokingly. Melinda was about to tell him something when his phone rang again, this time when he picked up he murmured an apology to her and walked away talking on the phone, Melinda heard some of the things he was saying but tried hard not to, after all it wasn't her business right! Melinda looked at the papers in front of her and her English paper, she started doodling, Melinda was always fond of art, it was the best thing, she loved art and thought of it as her way of escaping, some kinda of refuge that she turns to whenever she's feeling sad or alone and even if she was happy and carefree… Back in high school Art rooms were her favorite place, Weren't they lovely? Apart from in front of a piano these were the only places Melinda felt one hundred percent calm. Nothing could get her angry in art classes, because art was her element and she could actually paint, she loved to do so, it always made her feel calm, art was definitely her thing… Now when it comes to music it wasn't her favorite subject but she remembers how her mother insisted upon her taking piano lessons as a five year old kid and Melinda did actually liked her piano lessons so she was comfortable in two places in front of her piano and in front of her sketches or canvas. Melinda smiled when Jason took a seat next to her again ending his phone call, why is she smiling constantly at him, she can be really clumsy when it comes to guys, although she's quite a flirt but there was something about Jason that made her clumsy somehow. "Yeah I think it's really great graduating early, I can never do that." Melinda said as she raised her head again and stopped doodling, this time she looked at Jason and started fiddling with the pencil again, [hopefully this one will stay in her hand this time.] Melinda looked at him, what tragedie she wanted to ask him but she felt like she's gonna be snooping, though why not, they're talking and there's nothing wrong with asking him, and if he didn't want to answer than he can tell her that he doesn't want to, so should she ask him or not! Melinda was always like this, thinking about what to say and what to do unless she's angry then she'll burst everything out without thinking her words over in her mind. She couldn't help but she was intrigued by the word tragedy. "Tragedy? May I know what tragedy, by the way it's perfectly fine if you don’t feel like talking about it." Melinda said still cheerful, so she asked him the question, there's nothing wrong with it, she only blushed a little asking him such a personal question.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jason smilled warmly when she said that funny and nice were a good combination, Maria had told him the same thing, but at the moment, he didn't feel like thinking about his sister. He listened calmly as she babeled about her room mate and that she was glad that his room mate hadn't killed him, Frankly, I'm glad that he didn't do anything to me, although, I did once have to threaten him with my knife, but he never remembered it the following morning. Jason shrugged, he knew the frenzies were simply liquor induced, but it still frightened him sometimes. He hated having to sleep with the dagger under his pillow, he could always feel the hilt beside his left ear, and it felt like it was peircing him, not litteraly, but he didn't like that he couldn't trust his room mate.
He tried to remember the seemingly endless summer that he indured, fuming at books, living in the library, this very chair he was sitting in probably still had the spair pillow under it, sometimes the librarians would let him sleep in here, he was one of the few students left here over the summer, and the only one dedicated to learning, so they trusted him. Now, don't say that Melinda, who knows, if you study hard enough, you might be able to pull off getting out of here a year earlier. He said it in a way that was calm, yet encouraging. Sure, he'd been on his own, entirelly, both his parents had not had siblings, and his grandparents were gone by the time he was eight, so he'd had to fund his education here on his own, after his Freshman study antics, he'd recived a scholarship. He'd lived by that alone.
When she began to question what had happened that he'd reffered to as a tragedy, Jason had to mentaly take a step back, sure he'd been half-expecting it, but it still hit him hard. Gently closing his eyes, he cleared his head, when he'd gotten here, his first job had been working at a news station, he'd found the story that they'd run after the incedent. Those images still haunted him on stormy nights. When I was eighteen, my parents were here visiting my sister, Maria, they were....um.... He had to stop, at least for a moment, if he didn't he might start crying a little. This was one of the only things that made him cry, even if he was 24, it still hurt. Putting one of his hands over his eyes, he stood up, moving not far away, only about two yards. Leaning against one of the book shelves, he looked out the window, the sun had risen over the snow, turning it a strange yellow-gold-maroon. They were involved....in a....drive by homicide. The last sylabol of the word caught in his throat and he had to breathe for a moment, but he couldn't move.
Gazing out the window, he watched as snow began to fall from the air, it danced in little flurries, his grey eyes capturing every detail of it. Sometimes it was easier to imagine that he and Maria were still kids, playing in the snow back in Goodwood, their parents laughing and watching, their eyes like hawks'. But today, the snow brought back those memories, but they didn't seem as happy this time. They seemed to say, Jason, they aren't coming back. You've lost them all. And for once, he really did feel alone, as though the world was turning him away, taking Maria, his parents, all the friends he'd had back in Goodwood, that he knew he'd be saying goodbye to already, but that he'd see them again, not anymore. All the ones that he'd known back home, gone. Here, he knew very few, most of them his peers here at school.

Melinda let out a light giggle, she thought that he was kidding threatening his roommate with a knife and all. "I thought this only happened in movies.
Melinda said sarcastically, for a minute there Melinda forgot all about Jason being her professor, she felt like he was her friend and they were hanging out together catching up or something, Melinda blinked twice, reminding herself that this is her professor… It's not until he spoke again that she remembered that he was her professor, encouraging her to study hard to get through college; that was nice Melinda thought to herself. Surely Melinda looked at it from a different perspective, her brothers always telling her about how fun their college experience was, especially Brayden he could babel about his college years for hours telling her about the prank he used to do to freshmen's and the prank they pulled on him when he was one. And telling her all about his Greek house and the things they used to do for the new pledges. It's crazy. But then again her brothers tend to go crazy and a little bit protective over Melinda since she's the youngest girl among five boys. Melinda loved her brothers dearly, she's close to everyone of them but if she had to pick a favorite then sure it would be Aaron, he's a senior here at crescent hill university, he always joke around telling her how he'll fail a year or two just to keep an eye on her, it tends to get a little irritating too when your brother act like this. But hopefully he's just kidding! Melinda smiled at Jason's remark her dimples clearly visible. "My brothers are always talking about how fun their college years been, they didn't mention anything about studying hard, they talked about partying hard, dose this count." Melinda said jokingly. She sure loved to party hard and have the time of her life now since she's still young and doesn't have many responsibilities unless it concerns her studies. She wanted to make the most of it, not miss anything or rule anything out. Though Melinda was always responsible she knows when to stop partying, she never got wasted before or drunk to the point of making a fool out of herself or be embarrassed, she got only slightly tipsy and that was it. Melinda looked at him when he started talking about his parents, couldn't help but to remember her mother, though he lost both of his parents she was lucky enough to lose only one. Though sometimes she feels so lonely even when she's surrounded by her brothers and her father, she missed her mother dearly and being here right now, close to Christmas the time her mother died drawing nearer now, things always get a little gloomy this time a year, her father tend to stay occupied with work and bury himself in it though Melinda thinks that this time it's gonna be different for him since he recently got married again. But to her and her brothers it will be gloomy, even if they pretended to get over it they didn't. So she knows how does Jason feels, losing a parent felt like the end of the world and losing two at the same time was extremely hard. A wave of sadness prevailed upon them, Melinda stood up and walked to where he was standing leaning on the shelve she moved her hands unconsciously and placed it on his shoulders. Her eyes sparkled she was holding back the tears in her eyes, fighting the urge to cry. "I'm so sorry to hear this, I shouldn't have said anything, I know how hard it is to lose a parent and all the memories. I'm sorry." Melinda said in a hushed tone, almost a whisper, Silence fell upon them, awkward it was![/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jason ran his hand through his hair and laughed softly when she said that this only happened in movies. True, then again, teachers were rarely only a year or so older than their students...His grey eyes were gentle. But that made it somewhat strange to be teaching a bunch of students and being single. He sighed, mabey there was a reason this kind of stuff only happened in movies...then again, it was possible to happen in every day life.
He smilled, how old are your brothers, because I think I went to school with one of them... That's why he'd recognized the name when he saw Aaron on one of his rosters. Not because of Melinda, or the Senetor, although it did click when he saw Melinda's name and then read an artical in the paper. It would be somewhat odd if one of her brothers had gone here the same years that he had, he knew that he'd probably know who it was and they probably had made fun of him for "living" in the library. During my time, there were a lot of parties, although, parties at that time weren't really something that I enjoyed going to... He sighed.
He didn't hear Melinda get up and walk over to him, he was standing with his eyes closed now, just trying to control his emotions. This was the only thing that made him emotional, usually he was happy. He was a little surprised to open his eyes and feel Melinda's hands on his shoulders. He looked down at her, his memories repressed again. He could see moisture in her eyes, was she crying? When he heard her speak, he didn't say anything for a moment. It's tough, I guess. But we're not alone. He had heard that her mother had died around this time, mabey he'd seen some news article about it, he couldn't be sure. Without realizing what he was doing, he moved on of his hands up to her face, with one of his thumbs dotting at some of the moisture on one of her eyes. He had totally forgotten that she was one of his students!

Melinda smiled and let out a chuckle as he started laughing softly at her comment. She raised her eyebrows at his next question, Well that was right! how weird that it hasn't crossed her mind yet, of course he must know one of her brothers since they all went to CHU. "Well let's see I have Jason and Jensen they're twins but I think they're one year older than you, and then there's Brayden he's 23, and you must know Aaron since he's a senior now."
Melinda smiled at him... The thought of her brothers acting all crazy now crossed her mind, they'll flip out if they knew that Melinda have feelings for Jason especially that he's her teacher. After hearing about Jason's parents Melinda's mind drifted remembering the days she had spent with her mother after learning that she was sick, She missed her mother so much, and she's been so emotional about that especially now that her father got married again. She thought back to the day when her mother had been diagnosed with terminal leukemia. She can remember everything about that day, it's like it happened only yesterday, she remembers the hospital and the coldness of the room they entered to get her mother's test results, she remembers how her parents were the only one who were supposed to go the hospital that day but Melinda had gotten up early just to go with them, she felt that something was wrong with her mother and she knew that if her parents went alone then they'd lie about what's wrong with her mother, Melinda decided to go with them and she was so stubborn about it that eventually they did allow her to come with them, she was only thirteen at the time. Six years agoMelinda waited with both of her parents until the doctor allowed them to come in, "Don't worry about anything, am sure it's nothing serious." William told Zoe as they waited, Melinda wanted to believe that so much, remembering it now after all those years, she wished that her father was telling the truth. Her mother Zoe crossed her arms over her chest. They were back at the doctor, the second time this week, because they had gotten Zoë's test results back. The nurse called them in, and Melinda - as well as her Father William - walked in with Zoe. As Melinda sat in one of those small chairs they have in the exam rooms, she couldn't help but think that her Mother looked tired, skinnier, and paler than ever. It scared her. The doctor came in through the door, his expression dormant. "I'm afraid we have some bad news..." he started, as he looked at Zoe. "From the results of your result tests Mrs. O'Connell, It looks as though you have leukemia... And with how far along it is... It's terminal. I'm really sorry." the doctor sighed, looking about ten years older in that one moment.
Zoe emitted a loud sob, and William ran over to hug her, Melinda looked confused. "Mom." she said holding back the tears "What's terminal mean?" Melinda said her eyes shifting between both of her parents, she wanted an explanation, and she wanted to understand what was happening. Furrowing her brows, this caused Zoe to sob louder. The doctor looked at Melinda and William with a sorrowful expression. "How long does she have?" William dreaded to say this words but he wanted to know how much time they have. The doctor seemed taken aback. "Well, at this point, it looks as if, 3 or 4 months." this answer caused Melinda to look at the doctor with panic. "How long does she have. What do you mean by that?" Melinda said as she ran over and hugged her mother never wanting to let go, she still remembers her smell, the way she did her hair and the way she looked that day, tears running down her cheeks, she stopped sobbing as she looked over at Melinda, Zoe pulled her closer, and shushed her "It's okay Honey, it's okay, everything is gonna be okay" she managed, through her tears. Melinda delved in further, lost in thought, unaware of Jason's thumbs dotting her face. The memory made her jumpy and nervous and holding back the tears wasn't helping her much either. She looked as though she was going to cry specially after hearing him. When she took notice of his hands, Melinda blushed slightly, she felt like kissing him right now but that would make things pretty awkward between them. She let her hand find her way to his and just placed hers on his, her green orbs fixed upon his gray eyes. "Yeah it's tough." Melinda agreed with him as silence crept over. This was an uncomfortable silence, she just didn't know what to say, only one thought going through her mind now and that is to kiss him, she found it hard to banish this idea out of her mind.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jason laughed, he did know Brayden. Barely, mabey a partner for an assignment here and there, that's it. Brayden, he's the only one that I remember from those years. He laughed lightly and tried to remember the good times about coming here.....There weren't many, a simple party with his friends, a tough lesson that he'd passed. All his good memories were from him teaching here. Getting to rig water balloons over two frat boy's doors. After they'd done the same to him. He didn't like the getting locked in the trunk so much as he did catching the guys who'd done it to him. And now, getting to have a normal conversation with one of his students, mabey even friend.
He felt her place her hand over his, it still lingered on her cheek. He had lost sight of mind for a moment. Ancient Queen awake, a chrysalis not yet formed, will your wings unfold? His voice had grown to a dynamic no greater than a whisper. His grey eyes glittering. It was no secret that he had wanted the position of Classic Lit. But, he had seen an opening for World History and jumped at it. His eyes lost their slight glaze and he dropped his hand from her face. Looking down at his feet he muttered, studying the generic pattern of the carpet.
Folding his hands behind his back, he shifted uncomfortably, the silence that lingered was beginning to become awkward. And his knee was hurting. Turning on his heel, he moved back over to the chairs, sitting down limply in the one he had been in not too long before. It was strange how one moment he could be about to cry about his parents demise, and the next moment in a trance. Running one of his hands through his hair, he tried to think of something to say.

Melinda couldn't help but draw a smile on her face when she heard that he knew Brayden, though Brayden wasn't the nicest boy back in campus she wasn't sure if he and Jason actually talked or something. They were different Jason was more into books, quiet, peace maybe on the other hand her brother Brayden was loud, conceited, he was all about partying, drinking and living his life to it's fullest… Never a dull moment with him, plus he got a temper and a pretty bad one as well, agh! She missed him so much… haven’t seen him since he left last year to England or somewhere in Europe, Adriana grinned at the thought of her older brother, He was everything she wished she was. Except she didn't envy him; In fact, she looked up to Brayden, much to her step mother's dismay. Ever since he was sixteen, and openly admitted to homosexuality, the O'Connell family (excluding Melinda of course and Aaron!) had ignored the existence of Brayden, never mentioning his name. Whenever he was referred to though, he was referred to as "that boy" as if saying his name would end up putting some sort of a curse on whoever dared to utter it.
When the realization of what she was doing came down on her she backed away as he did so as well… She didn't quite understand what did he say, but at that particular moment her mind drifted to Shakespeare once wrote: So, till the judgment that yourself arise, You live in this, and dwell in lovers' eyes. It was weird and she doesn't know why such a quote came to her mind right now… As the silence grew awkward and uncomfortable. Melinda wasn't so fond of awkward silence or silence in silence, as a matter of fact she hated silence and let alone the awkward one. Melinda watched him as he moved away, walking with a limp! She started pacing she definitely need something to say "So what do you think of world peace?"
Melinda muttered jokingly. She wasn't really in the mood for making jokes nor talking about world peace but it was just a question that pumped into her head. "I'm just kidding." Melinda added quickly with a smile. Remembering her mother and the day they found out that her mother had leukemia took its toll on Melinda, she wasn't going to cry again and certainly her mood was slightly better, no more fighting the urge to cry… Another question popped into her mind as she walked over to sit on the chair that she preoccupied earlier. And taking the seat she looked straight at him, a somewhat shy smile lingered on her face. "So what did you mean by the line you said earlier?" Melinda asked driven by curiosity…[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jason looked up when he heard her speak again, world peace? Well, when I think of peace alone, I think of a library. He thought for a moment with a serine look on his face before speaking next. World peace might never come, there is always going to be people arguing. It's a natural thing. It was true, no matter how hard he thought about it, he never could figure out what made him think of world peace. Running his hand through his hair again, he recognized how often he did that simple task. It had become a habit of his when he had begun to grow his hair out long. He laughed when she said that she was just joking. He knew that she wasn't feeling up to laughing, the look on her face told him that much.
His grey eyes followed her as she moved back to the chair she'd been in earlier. That saying is one that I've known for quite some time now. True, he'd learned it from a book, but even then, he'd analized it to the best of his ability. Looking back up at Melinda, he studdied her face. She had that shy grin on her face again, she was waiting for an answer, and he was planning one, but for a moment he was frozen, just watching her. Clearing his throat, he spoke; I think it means that you're waiting to see what something turns into. Like a caterpillar to a butterfly. He knew that he sounded really, really lame, but it was true, and he was speaking his mind. He rubbed his hands together like they were cold, just to give them a chance to move around.
He turned his head when he heard the door to the library open. Workin' time... He hauled himself out of the chair, flinching a little when his knee held the weight. Looking down at Melinda, he smilled apologetically. Limping over to where the student was waiting, he couldn't help but glance over his shoulder towards Melinda. What was getting into him?! Shaking his head, he looked back down at the student, it was a small boy, probably a Freshman. Hello, Prof. Deen. Uh, I needed to find the Latin 1 text book... The boy had a nasaly voice, and it was strange after talking to Melinda. Uh, oh, hang on, let me go get that for you. He limped down one of the Text book isles and returned a few moments later with the book in his hands. Walking behind the counter, he pulled up the file and took down the kid's name to check it out. Handing it across the desk, he nodded to the little guy, Thanks Mr. Deen. He left without another word.
Rolling his eyes, Jason limped a little slower across the vast library towards the sitting area. Now, where were we? He collapsed in the chair and looked towards Melinda with a grin, rubbing his knee with one of his hands. Stupid car wreck. He thought to himself with a sigh.

Melinda let out a small giggle she didn’t expect Jason to actually answer her question about world peace, she was just trying to sound silly or lighten the mood or something like that she didn't mean it as a real question. Melinda nodded at what he said; frankly she didn't have anything to add about world peace! But somehow what he said was true, she never thought about world peace happening not so over, it was just something that people hope for, make conversations about, but is it ever happening, well yeah! Not anytime soon anyway!
Melinda's green orbs were now focused on Jason as he was explaining the meaning of the quote he just said few moments earlier, she started tapping her fingers on the table, not really out of her nervousness like most of the time, nope! It was just something that she did to keep herself occupied; Melinda can't let her arms stay still for too long… "Yeah I hear you, but don't you think it's a little bit overrated, I mean we can wait for something to turn into something else but it may not turn out to be as beautiful as a butterfly."
Melinda said not knowing if Jason would actually get what she wanted to say or that if what she was saying made any sense to him. What she wanted to clarify was that you can wait your entire life for something to happen, but it won't turn out as good as you expected! A caterpillar turning into a butterfly is something beautiful. The helpless caterpillar turning into a beautiful, colorful entity that can fly and enjoy freedom, and sometimes you can wait for something but it will turn ugly and you'd wish that you didn't wait for it. Melinda smiled at her attempt to actually try and explain what she meant but she'll refrain for the moment, she saw Jason rubbing his hands, and she shivered, it was actually cold here. "It's getting a little bit cold here, don't you think?" Melinda said eyeing him. She wanted to say something and opened her mouth to talk but she was interrupted by a freshman coming into the library, Melinda smiled again as Jason looked at her in his eyes there was that [excuse-me-it's-work-time] look. She continued doodling with the pencil in her hand as she waited for him to come back, she was a little bit torn between staying here right now, or asking him if they should go somewhere else, more warm, maybe get a cup of coffee or something, but can she really ask her teacher to go grab a cup of coffee with her? Well it seems like a long shot that he'll accept but it's not against the rules now is it? Jason finished with the freshman and came back to sit with her, she left the pencil and looked at him. "I think that we were about to go grab a cup of coffee or tea, any hot beverage really so that we can get warm, what do you think?" Melinda said her smile widening; she wasn’t sure if Jason can leave the library but its Saturday anyway who would wake up and come to the library on a Saturday morning! Well there're a few like her and Jason but that doesn't matter, right![/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jason listened to her ask about the saying, but he was shaking his head before she'd finished. He couldn't tell exactly whether or not she was saying that waiting for something you really want was over rated, or whether or not she was refering just to a butterfly, but either way; The hiku wasn't about a butterfly, well...it could have been... He shook his head to focus and then continued. It's refering to an event, or a project, or something of the sort. He couldn't help but add relationship to himself, but he wouldn't speak it outloud.
When Jason returned from the assitance desk, he collapsed into the chair, his knee was hurting like hell, but he wouldn't admit that. Though technically he should go back to his dorm and get his brace, he couldn't. He, oddly enough, didn't want to leave Melinda. He couldn't help but chuckle when she asked if he wanted to go get something to drink. Is she seriously asking her teacher out?! He thought to himself, oddly enough, he nodded. That sounds nice, actually. He paused when he remembered that he was in charge of the library. Looking around at the empty room, he smilled. Hang on. He stood back up and cringed when he put too much weight on his knee. Limping back over to the desk, he pulled out a piece of printer paper and a sharpie. Library Closed. Will Re-open later today. Prof. Deen and the library staff He plucked a piece of tape off the despenser and limped over to the heavy doors, the little glass windows on either side weren't fogged so you could see right through them. Tapping the sign to one of the windows, he limped back over to Melinda.
What exactly did you have in mind? He asked, slidding back into the chair, a sigh of relief escaping his lips when the weight off his knee vanished. He smilled warmly at Melinda, knowing that there were some students here who were the same age as himself did help him feel as though he wasn't breaking any rules. Or laws. Rubbing his knee with one of his hands, he felt the scar that ran along one side of it, and the small screw that were forever implanted into the bone. It hurt like hell, but it was bareable if he just tried not think about it.

Melinda listened as her explained further, and nodded at his words, she doesn't have anything to add to it really, she knew that the haiku wasn't necessarily about a butterfly, she knew that the butterfly here was just a metaphor, but didn't know exactly how to get out the idea in her mind to Jason so that he can actually understand what she meant. But since Melinda wasn't so good in expressing her mind she decided to talk about something else, something where she can actually make sense and not be a philosopher…
For a minute there Melinda didn't believe that Jason actually said yes, even though the idea of them going to grab something for to drink didn't sounds good when she blurted it out, it sounded a lot more sane when she thought about it but when she said it she felt awkward. See the problem is she need to get away from Jason for her crush to go away or to at least until she gets over her crush, and not hangout with him outside campus, this was a stupid idea suggesting such a thing! But then again when did Melinda really care about what others think! Or maybe she can just say that she just remembered that she have an important date with someone, or have tones of homework's that she forgot about, aghhhh this was just so confusing for Melinda. She smiled at him and didn't say anything as she watched him rose from his chair limping, "Are you sure that you're leg is good? Because it doesn't look good?"
Melinda asked him and stood up at once he cringed, maybe he needed help! But Melinda just stood there looking at him… So now that they're leaving the library Melinda started gathering her stuff and papers still standing. As Jason limped back to where they were sitting, she actually felt excited about them going out even if it didn’t sound right, so what? It's like it's a date or anything… Melinda gathered her stuff and stuffed it in her backpack; she looked at Jason and placed her hand on her hip, raising her eyebrows slightly as he slipped into the chair. "Well I was thinking maybe we should go to starbucks? What do you say? Or do you have any other place in mind?" Melinda asked him blushing a little, who would've thought that Melinda would actually ask Jason out, even if it wasn't a date, it's still something right? "By the way, I have to ask this but won't you get in any trouble if others saw you with a student outside campus?" Melinda blurted out the question; it was a stupid question because frankly right now she didn't care if this was going to cause a problem or anything of that sort she just wanted to spend time with him…[/blockquote][/blockquote] [OOC] So what do you think should happen now? I was thinking maybe someone else should join in the plot, like maybe Melinda would date another guy now, and Jason would get jealous or maybe another student who have a crush on Melinda would see them and he'd get jealous! I don't know, do you have anything in mind?

Jason sighed when she asked him about his leg. True, he had been trying to hide the fact that he was in pain, and he knew he hadn't been doing it well, but she was a bit more observant than he'd taken her for. I was in a car accident a few years ago, I shattered my knee and should be in a wheel chair still, but I'm not willing to let it get farther than a brace. He thought about that morning when he'd just passed his brace without glancing at it, his leg always acted up before a storm. I have a brace in my dorm, and I guess I just forgot to grab it this morning... He added as an afterthought.
Jason was sitting back in the chair, still rubbing his knee when he heard Melinda speak again, he had been watching her pack up her things, trying to think ahead of himself. He was also trying to convince himself that it wasn't a date, it was simply a student and a teacher going to get coffee, right? He stared down at his knee and it took him a moment to realize that she was speaking agian. Starbucks sounds good to me, wonderful atmosphere. He couldn't belive he'd just said the whole atmosphere thing, he knew that he'd fallen in love with Starbucks when he'd gone here, he lived there for most of the time before tests. He met her eyes when she asked if he'd get in trouble if anyone saw them. This got him thinking again. Often times, he'd seen girls taking their crushes to Starbucks with books, just to give it the appearence of studdying, that way, if their real boyfriend walked in, they could say they were just tutoring them. It was a stupid thought, but it would atleast get people to not look twice. Did I give you any homework? He asked, simply asking and seeing if she caught on. His grin was planted firmly on his face as he watched her face.
||Sure, I don't mind if we add another person to said plot. I like the second idea, where someone saw them and got jealous. It would be funny. And, we might want to start issueing said plot into action.||

It didn't need a super observer to see that Jason's limping wasn't normal and that there's a story behind it but never she would've guessed that it was a car accident, Melinda looked at him with a surprised expression, She didn't know a lot about Jason before but today she learned that he lost his parents, he have a sister and that he's been in an accident a few years ago, that's why he's limping, oh yeah! And she didn't know that he uses a brace. Never actually saw him with one around campus. Melinda wondered if there's anymore surprises that she should expect from him… the surprise that she didn't wanna hear about is that he's married with two kids and living a perfect life. Well that's not entirely true because if he was married with kids she would've known this, plus he's not wearing a ring anyway is he? Melinda glanced at his hands to see his fingers and if he's wearing a wedding ring but thank god he's not! Melinda let out a relieved sigh though it sounded more as if she was breathing only! And though she was relieved that he wasn't married well that doesn't mean that he doesn't have a girlfriend somewhere out there. This is just confusing! Why did she have to have a crush on her teacher, why didn't she have a crush on a student that would've been a lot easier. "I think we have a problem here, see I think we have to walk to starbucks but given your leg I think you can't walk all the way there…"
Melinda said as she furrowed her eyebrows, She had a car, but currently it was in the shop getting a paint job since she had swerved of the road by accident and had had a tree branch scrape her car. "Oh you know what that's not a problem, you can use me as a brace, it's once in a life time offer." Melinda said jokingly though she meant the whole supporting him while they walked to the coffee shop. Luckily for Melinda she didn't have a jealous boyfriend to deal with if he saw her with Jason, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal if she did go to grab a cup of coffee with another guy who's her teacher and he's younger than most teachers and sexier than most teachers… She waited for him to answer her question, though she have a crush on him and though she loved to go out with him right now for that cup of coffee but that last thing she wants is to get him into trouble. As she listened to his answer she smiled, she actually did take the hint. "Oh yeah, you mean that whole thing about history that you gave us last Tuesday, yeah I really need help with it… glad that you'd help me professor." Melinda said batting her eyelashes a little. "So are you ready?" Melinda asked as she gave him her hand so he can lean on it![/blockquote][/blockquote]
[OOC] Okay that's great I'll post a thread in the student notice thingy so if anyone's interested than he can jump into the plot =) So you wanna start a thread at starbucks or you want me to?

Jason studdied her face, she knew, it was obvious. He had hated that damn car accedint since the day. Rolling over once, the radio exploded, and he'd fallen unconcious. The flames from the radio licked his shoulder enough, that now he had a pleasent little scar on his left shoulder. His knee...that had been twisted in beween the seat and the door, it had shattered when the car had landed on that door, the doctors had told him that he'd never walk again. But throughout his whole college education after his Sophmore year, he had been in a wheel chair, though he'd walked across the stage when he'd graduated. He never so much as looked at the wheel chair after that. He told his doctor, and they sighed and gave him a silly little leg brace. It was just one of those nice ones that wrapped around his knee and no one ever noticed. I think I'd be fine for some of the way, my truck is farther out than Starbucks I think... He chuckled, the stupid staff parking lot was no where near the dorms. He hesitated for a moment before taking her hand and standing up. True he was a little bit taller than Melinda, but it was a nice offer. Thanks.
Jason pretended to be a teacher again for a moment. Hm...You know, I think I have a free schedual, bring it with you. He smilled and rested all of his weight on his other leg, standing there for a moment and just watching her. He'd shut off his common sense a long time ago, now, he was simply another student, again. He missed going here and listening to the lectures, but he'd always been way to interested in getting away from there that he forgot to have fun at times, but then, when it was time to leave, he found that he couldn't. He left for only a year, finding different teaching jobs, and somehow, he ended up back here.
