Never was Melinda a big fan of coffee but, now it just sounded perfect with all the sugary goodness and caffeine was sure to give her a bit of a sugar buzz and she would get all spazzy and hyper with enough coffee. Plus she wanted to get out of the library and spend more time with Jason, even though she was having second thoughts but still that never stopped her before from doing anything. She took the steps into Starbucks with Jason, her heels click and clacking on the floor with every step she took. The bell above the door jingled as Melinda and Jason pushed open the door, The strong scent of coffee filled her nostrils as she walked towards the counter. Excitedly and after waiting in line she ordered a grande caramel frappuccino. "So what are you having?"
Melinda asked as the soft music playing overhead made her feel drowsy, She waited for Jason to order his drink. Melinda was surprised at the lack of people clogging up every single place of that cafe. There were usually like a gazillion people in there. Then again, it was Saturday morning, and most normal people did have plans. On the bright side she's with the guy that she have a huge crush on, a grin formed on her face looking at Jason. he's cute! Jason allowed Melinda to go in first, his long arm holding the door open. It was cold out, but the swirlling snow was nice, peacefull in a way. He limped awkwardly to the counter, just a step or two behind Melinda, not helping but look around the main room. Very few people were actually there. He knew that if they'd come in on a Monday, the place would have been packed. He waited as Melinda ordered her drink and then waited. Almost always he got a normal hot chocolate, it was just natural to him. He answered her question as he ordered; I'll have a Vinte Hot Chocolate...with extra whipped cream. He smilled, he knew it was funny that he was ordering a hot chocolate, but it was good!
Turning back to Melinda he smilled, Go find a place to sit, I'll get the drinks. He handed the guy at the counter a $5 and then moved over to the little circular piece of counter where the drinks would be.

Melinda looked at him concerned about his limping and if she should go find a place to sit without helping him get the drink, but he can handle it for sure, he managed well without her help in the past, Melinda looked at him a graceful smile spreading across her face, and waltzing through her green eyes. "Okay, I'll do that."
Melinda said as she turned around to look for a place, and spotted an empty table in the corner... She left her place in the line and once she had worked her way through the many tables and chairs that obscured her path she was stood where she wanted to be. Melinda placed her bag on the chair and drowned herself in the comfy chair waiting for Jason. The day was one of those typical winter snowy days. the sky was cloudy - an occasional ray of sunshine peaking through the clouds about once in every 10 or 15 minutes though the weather remained dreary, and flakes of snow were falling occasionally. Melinda loved winter, it was definitely her favorite season. She occupied herself by looking at the very few people who were in the cafe till Jason comes. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jason nodded as Melinda went to find a table. Limping over to the Pick Up counter, he waited for only about a minute and then the girl handed him the two drinks. Nodding his thanks, he moved over towards the table where Melinda was waiting. He had seen how she'd had to go through the mass of tables, and he knew that he'd trip if he tried to do that, so he moved to the outer edge of the room and over to her. Setting her coffee down in front of her, he took his seat in the other chair, setting his drink on the table before attempting it.
He for once didn't know what to say, he picked up his drink and took a quick sip of it, glancing out the window as he did so. The sun was peeking out, but by the time he realized it, it was gone. The snow was coming down a little heavier now, but that pleased him. True it would be a little bit more difficult to go back to the University, but it would be a little bit more peacefull.

Looking outside the window waiting for Jason to come Melinda noticed that today wasn’t the type of day to get out of bed. It was as simple as that. The skies were a dull grey; the wind was blowing; it couldn’t have been more than ten degrees or so outside. All in all, there was no reason for her to want to get out of her nice, warm bed, much less any reason for her to actually want to go outside. But she did anyway, and she's glad that she did, who knew that by doing this she would be sitting here with Jason… Today was the epitome of a snowy Saturday: a perfect day to get some studying done, maybe start a new book. These were the thoughts running through Melinda’s mind as she glanced out the window from her comfy chair inside the warm café. Melinda saw Jason coming and as he placed her drink on the table and sat in the chair opposite to her she murmured "Thanks,"
She took a quick sip of her Carmel Frapp, her plans were to get a hot beverage but as she stepped in here she couldn't help it but to order her favorite iced drink. What a shocker! Melinda let the corners of her rosy lips curve delicately into a smile looking at him drinking his hot chocolate. For the first time Melinda was running out of things to say, and that rarely ever happens, Melinda always have something to say, never running out of words but today she just felt so clumsy, out of words and there were like butterflies fluttering in her stomach, crushing on someone can make you really stupid right! "So Jason, what's your story?" she asked in a slightly amused tone. Slapping herself mentally for asking such a stupid question, what does she mean by that question really? Jason nodded his response to her thanks, his blue-grey eyes matched that of the weather outside; peacefull yet curious. He wasn't that curious as to why Melinda had invited him here, he was more curious as to why he said yes. True, it was a semi-known fact that he was single, he'd lived in Goodwood, England, and he had a sister, but other than that, he usually stuck to himself. He had never been one for parties, seeing as when he'd been here, his parents had just been killed. But even growing up, he hadn't had many friends who enjoyed throwing parties. Even then, he usually didn't go, he wasn't much of a socialist. It was strange being here with one of his students, thinking that they were friends. But they were, which scared him a little more than not. He was more worried about the fact that they weren't much different age wise, but yet they were.
My story? Like my history? He was fairly sure that was what she was asking, but he couldn't be so sure. He wasn't used to people being so open around him. Everything that was happening today was new to him. Well...I guess you already know my most recent history... He paused, trying to think of where to begin. I was born and raised in Goodwood England, my sister, Maria, and I would always go to the epic car show out there...and then she grew up. He paused, thinking about the day that Maria had told him she wasn't interested in going back out to the festival. She and I were the best of friends. We still are, but there's space between us I guess... He stopped, trying not ot focus on his sister. I'm not sure what else there is. I mean, you already know that I don't have much of a social life outside of the school, I graduated from CHU, and that's about all there is to the story of Jason Mathias Deen. He smilled warmly and took another sip of his hot chocolate, watching her face.

Truth be told Melinda was a little nervous about hanging out with Jason here today, she wasn't worried about being seen, she doesn't care really, Melinda doesn't care if she was seen with a teacher or anything of that sort, true that sometimes she have to be careful since her father is the senator and a lot of reporters and photographers loves to write about her father so Melinda have to be careful from time to time, maybe that's why she's a little nervous, but the cool thing was that if anybody saw them he wouldn't really think that she's sitting with her teacher, thank god Jason was only twenty four. besides normally Melinda was content to ignore everyone else and go on with her life without inquiring much of anything...
Melinda furrowed her eyes, today she was asking Jason a lot of weird questions?! I mean who asks someone what's your story? it must be the most stupid thing she ever did, but so is being in love! Oh no wait, she's not in love, nope, this is just a crush, harmless crush that will go away with time... Melinda tried to convince herself as she lowered her eyes examining her Frappuccino and listening to him, it's cute how he answers her questions without even being surprised at such questions. well as long as he's not looking at her like she's some kinda weird girl then there's nothing wrong with her questions. Melinda looked at him again, a smile crossed her face as she nodded. "We have to get you a social life out of the university, I mean you're still young, you should learn to loosen up and have fun a little.
Melinda said cheerfully. Melinda stared at her coffee for a moment again, delved deep into the dark liquid as if all the solutions to the world’s problems were at the bottom of the cup, but raised her jade eyes and looked at him watching her she blushed. "I was thinking of...." Melinda said but stopped, she was about to ask him out to go with her to the club now that would definitely look like she's asking him on a date! and since when does she make a first move, oh no we're not talking about moves, obviously she is head over heals over Jason, and that's a No, No. "Agh, just forget it." Melinda said a little bit confused and didn't wait for him to reply or she didn't give him enough time to process what just happened now. "Since I asked you a lot of questions today, I think it's your turn to ask me something, it's only fair since I'm sure am you're gonna get super bored with my questions."... Melinda is babbling again![/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jason wondered to himself why he wasn't talking all that much, usually, he was talk talk talk, never letting in a word from whomever he was with. But today, today was already different, first, he was on a date? with one of his students, secondly, he didn't care if anyone saw, thirdly, he was enjoying himself. He watched her face as he told her of his past, not really thinkin as he did so. He tilted his head slightly when she said that he needed a social life. I don't doubt that honestly. He laughed softly and took another sip of his drink, just letting his worries pool out into the mix of chocolate and cream substance.
His mind clicked on when he heard her stop speaking after beginning a thought. He would store that away into his memory, that was for sure. He smilled warmly, hoping to kind of make her relax somehow. What were you about to ask a minute ago? He asked, a small boyish grin on his face, he knew that she was probably avoiding it for a reason, but now she had him curious. He knew that he could ask a lot of other questions, a few that would probably get him in trouble, like asking her out, because honestly, in the course of the two years he'd been teaching here, he'd begun to dive into a small crush on one certain Melinda O'Connell.

Melinda ran her hands through her brown locks as some customers opened the door to the small cafe, Only then, did she notice the soft breeze that was colliding with her skin and causing a shiver to run down her spine, her body trembled slightly and she wrapped her arms around herself, almost warning the cold away. And it worked, the cool wisps of wind seemed to steer away from her body. She smirked un-noticeably, as she listen intently to his reply, her eyes gleaming with genuine interest. "Well we need to do something about that, get you to go out more."
Melinda said with no further explanation. The question startled her slightly, at first. She just kind of looked at him, with a blank expression. Was he really asking her about what she wanted to say and can she give him an honest answer! She can't tell him "Oh yeah I wanted to ask you to go with my to the club so we party." yeah that would be just great! why did she open her mouth without thinking... Melinda blushed, making her snowy skin look as if she'd been slapped. how is she going to give him an answer without sounding like she have a crush on him or without this question sounding like she's asking him out. "I wanted to ask you if you're interested then maybe... We, or you would like to come with us..." Melinda stopped for a second. "Who's Us Melinda asked herself, slapping herself mentally for opening her mouth without thinking. "I mean us, a group of students, we're going out to the club tonight and i was just wondering if you'd like to come." Melinda said, so she got it out of her mouth, and now if he said yes then she have to call Victoria like so quick to go out with her and call more friends so this wouldn't look like a date or anything.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

He couldn't help but chuckle softly when he saw Melinda shiver. You know, it's colder outside. He joked, resisting the urge to offer his seat to her. That would seem way too much like flirting with her, though who knows where that would get them...Jason shrugged out of habit, Do you have any suggestions for my glorious social life? He joked, taking a sip of his drink. Smilling through the cup. Setting the cup back down in front of him, he ran his hand through his shaggy hair, ruffling it a little. His storm coloured eyes glittered as he watched Melinda.
The club? He had never heard of it, if that didn't only boost his low social life status, he didn't know what would. And I heard you mention a we, who all would be there? He was a little hesitant, if it was going to be a bunch of his students, it could be a little akward, but he'd gotten over that pretty easily when he'd first come here. Though it sounds fun. He sighed and smilled warmly at Melinda. BAD! BAD JASON! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TROUBLE YOU CAN GET IN FOR STUFF LIKE THIS!? WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU DEEN?! His mind was screaching at him, but he simply blurred it out and took another sip of his drink

Bella ran into Starbucks, her black hair covered in snow. It was freezing out there! She saw a spare seat beside the window and was just about to walk over there when she spotted Jason and Melinda. A scowl spread across her face. 'Oh no she didn't.' Bella thought to herself. She smoothed her hair of snow and walked over there, pretending that she had never noticed them. She halted beside them, pretending that she was glad to see them. "Melinda! Professor Deen! Ciao! What are you guys doing here?" She asked, her Italian accent coming through her American accent.
