Welcome to Crescent Hill University

Okay. So you graduated and made it through high school. Big whoop-de-doo. What do you want - a cookie? Well, let me tell you something. If you thought high school was hard, don't even bother applying here. They'll cut you down like a dead tree, snap you up and eat you alive. You won't even last a day. You've got to be prepared for this, because Crescent Hill University is like no other. We're ruthless here. We're strong and we're cruel. But that's only because you've got to learn your life lessons and we're the ones who are going to teach them to you - the hard way.

Located conveniently near Crescent Hill Academy, Crescent Hill U is also in Brooklyn Heights of Brooklyn, New York. But everything is not fun and games here. Sure, there are nice people, but it'll take a bit of hard searching and friend scouting for you to find 'em. You better come here with friends or at least know somebody; it'll be tough being the new kid. And when we say tough, we mean it. Here, all the clichés and stereotypes you heard about in high school come alive. Here is where the line is drawn.

Here is Crescent Hill University.

Are you game?

Math.
Riley's worst subject. The way the numbers, letters, and signs were arranged just confused the crap out of her. She knew that humans used it everyday of their life, but she always told herself that she would never be able to learn it. Her mother got mad at her whenever she said that, not that this mattered at all. All Riley did was mess around and talk during class, which usually got her in trouble, like right now. She was sent out into the hall for the rest of the class period to "gather her thoughts" as the teacher said. Yeah right. Whatever the teacher had meant by that, was not going to happen. So she had grabbed all her stuff, hoping it would preoccupy her for the next 45 minutes. Yeah, that's right. All she needed was about 5 to 10 minutes to get in trouble. It used to take nearly 25 minutes, but not anymore. Soon enough, she wouldn't be able to walk into the classroom without being sent out into the hall again.
That would be a problem.
Didn't her parents send her here so she wouldn't get into so much trouble? Or was it because they hated their daughter? Both seemed pretty reasonable. Riley would never change.
Ever.

With a gentle sigh, she grabbed her notebook, opening it and staring at a blank page. She didn't know what to do, staring at it definatly didn't make time fly by so she reverted to doing her Language Arts homework. It was some sheet on summaries, nothing to hard. But when she saw the words on the paper, she got dizzy and put it away quickly. School tended to do a lot of odd stuff to you, meaning dizziness and a nauseous feeling. Well, it happened to Riley a lot. Maybe it was just because she was tired. She had stayed up late last night doing her homework, late work I guess you could say, and staring at pages and pages of words and numbers made her dizzy, even now.
What to do, what to do.
It wasn't really a question, just a thought. She tapped her chin with her right index finger as she thought, her left eye twitched slightly. After a few minutes of thinking, she declared her brain to be dead. Probably from so much work and school and the lack of sleep last night. I mean, she could fall asleep right now, but a teacher could walk down the hall and get mad at her. And she didn't need anymore trouble today.

What was scary, was that every single teacher seemed to know Riley Jones, even if they didn't have her in their class. Just the rumor of her bad behavior spread from teacher to teacher. Although it didn't surprise Riley, she was used to that since the day she was born. Having unknown people know about you for bad reasons. Totally normal.
Maybe.
As the time slowly passed, thoughts flew through her mind. She was getting bored and lonely now and she bit her cheek in frustration. Being in the hall again certaintly got old, but that would never stop her horrid bad behavior.
Never.

Snooping is bad for the brain, but not mine.
